pēji is an independent book publishing house and curated bookstore, built around the idea of books as bridges — between generations, cultures, ideas, and inner worlds. From the outset, the brand was structured as two interconnected yet distinct worlds: pēji and pēji kids, each developed with its own strategy, voice, and visual logic.
For pēji, we shaped a calm, contemporary, and editorial brand identity that speaks to adult readers, parents and cultural explorers. The strategy focused on positioning books as objects of thought, ritual and connection - supported by a refined visual language and a composed, reflective tone of voice.
For pēji kids, we developed a separate strategy centered on curiosity, imagination and shared reading experiences between children and adults. While maintaining alignment with the core brand philosophy, the kids’ sub-brand was designed with its own narrative rhythm, visual warmth and approachable editorial tone.
